KA 58 – Alternative cable for KA59 keyboard
Purpose
KA58 cable connects KA59 mechanical keyboard to Amiga 1200 mainboard. KA58 cable may be used instead of original cable of KA59 in two cases:
- Keyboard is connected to Amiga 1200 mainboard, but the owner wants to retain and use the keyboard connector clamp.
- Keyboard is connected to some other device using clampless FFC socket (for example Keyrah interface). In this case original cable PCB plug is too thick.
If the connector clamp in Amiga 1200 is missing or damaged, it is recommended to use the original cable.
